Writing

and Wreakording.

Friday the 13th of January 2012

We have recently finished tracking our alubm at JungleTone studios. . . .YEAH! Woohoo! Huzzah! Happy New Year *fireworks* . . . almost. We are in the mixdown phase, although we might bring in one last secret weapon at the last possible moment. Very exciting new for us all, no doubt.

So, our next show on January 27th is at the Hessian Lion in Avon, which is awesome because a) they are such a fun venue to play at and 2) We're playing with Pocket Vinyl who are really talented and not to be missed. Also, if it is not your birthday on that particular date, to show up and enjoy a very Merry Un-Birthday with us!

So, inbetween writing, wreakording, and whathaveyou, Jeff has managed to write and record and shoot a Doc-Proctor-Produced music video. Want to hear it? Here it is?

P.S. You may have noticed our brand new logo! It was designed by the one and only Kerry Kenedy, to whom we are most grateful. Get used to it, you'll be seeing it EVERYWHERE!

Boston!

Waterbury, Simsbury.

18 November 2011

So. . . . we won by three votes our battle against our new friends, The Van Buren Boys and made rent this month at the Casa De Gnome. Cheers to Katie S. from Architecture For Humanity for organizing a great charity event, and inviting us to play. OOH! and you should know. . . we just dropped our new single Destroy at that show. It's a freebie in anticipation of our upcoming album which should actually come out in the new year. JungleTone is doing a great job, and it sounds fantastic.

Also, we're adding two shows for next month. One, at Diamond Lil's with Pyramis - all original rock night. The other, our long-awaited return to Plan B in Simsbury. Both should be a blast. See y'all there. - ♥

Shoolhouse Rocks Charity Event

Boston?!

Architecture for Humanity.

11 November 2011

So, yes, we are coming to Boston to play Scholar's. This is not just a battle of the bands, it is a charity event to build schools in Nepal. Students get in CHEAP ($10) Check out the Facebook Event Page to RSVP. The event is being put on by Architecture for Humanity Boston, and is sponsored by Harpoon Brewing Company!

Big and Little

shorter and sweeter

26 October 2011

We've got a couple of shows coming up. Short little sets. Big venues, big names, big deals. The first most premium and biggest deal is New London Autumn Fest, put on by the TseTse Gallery. Come, enjoy a whole afternoon of music, and also express your opinions right before the local elections. New London always promises a good time, and there's no reason the party has to stop when we close down the stage. Also, we have put in for a Battle in Boston, and if we are accepted, you'll hear it here first, folks!

Day Trippin'

with special guests. . . . us!

22 August 2011

So, fellas, coming up we've got a weekend out. We're gonna take our hot little hour-long rock set out for a spin. There are some nights when you have time for a ballad, but not this weekend. We're really glad to be back at the Hessian Lion, which is always a fun club, and especially so because we're there with our friends Jen Hill and Company.

We've been working on new material at rehearsals, and on vocals in the studio. Speaking of vocals, I just smashed my own personal best in the studio and got four songs tracked in under two hours. Really good first takes yesterday, and thanks to Jonny for being there to encourage and capture a good performance. 8)

Busy Little Bees

zzzzzzz.

15 June 2011

Thanks, Providence, for your warm welcome. Not to brag, but I seriously think we killed it, musically speaking. It's a technical term. Don't worry about it. We'll be back as soon as we can. ♥ you too.

Next up, back to the Hessian Lion, for a rematch, and this time we're bringing Diane. July first. We might kill this one too, just so you know.

And finally, we've got a slate of new songs we're working on. That, and, (I swear) the final guitar tracks for the album should be done soon; shortly after I get my brand new custom "Balisciano".

Welcome Back Alaa

. . . one more hand to scrape with

11 April 2011

Huzzah! We're happy because we've made ourselves permenant residents of the Forrestville Industrial Complex, recently securing our own practice room! This, I need not tell you, is every small-time rock band's dream come true. Space where you can do whatever. Space where you can be loud and the cops won't come. Space where you never have to spend an hour setting up and breaking down equipment every time you want to JAM!

So, welcome back Alaa (and Crystal, of course) from adventures in the Occident. They've arrived safely on the East Coast, and boy are we relieved. . . to have an extra set of hands to scrape paint in our rehearsal room. . . 8) Seriously, though, we've got a lot of work to do, and won't be rehearsing until the first of May, most likely.

In the meantime, however, progress continues at JungleTone Studios! Closing in on vocals and guitar. A few more sessions, and we'll have something for you. Let's call it a summertime release. Yeah, that sounds good. We're back in business. Monkey business.

Also, a belated thank you to the Hessian Lion. We had a lot of fun there, even though our drummer became unexpectedly ill, and we showed up acoustic. That bar is full of our people. You know, young, fun, good looking. 8) We can't wait to come back with the full monty.

Happy Saint Patty's Day

. . . & Goings on behind the scenes

17 March 2011

So to all you Irish and wannabe-Irish, happy St. P's. Go get Irie. Just wanted to stop in and tell everybody what's going on with the band.

We're going down to the Hessian Lion next Friday. Should be fun. Come out and party with us. Working on some new songs, and a new old song. Getting back into the studio in April to finish the guitar work on the album. Looking to book some gigs outside of the Bristol area for spring. Will let you know. TTFN.

Check us out on Facebook!

finally

24 January 2011

Our nomenclature troubles are over, dude. With a new name that everyone can get behind, we're going all the way. Rescued the near-obsolete myspace profile, and signed up for a facebook page. Come be our fan! Notice the nifty little like box to your left. Diane's girlfriend, Erin (of Erin's song fame) said she will lend a hand, now that we have stopped changing our name. TaTaForNow - J

I LoveDiane

the Haters Club has spoken.

31 December 2010

Okay, okay! Ow! You've twisted our arm. Due to unprecedented public outcry we have agreed to go back to one of our several "original" names - I Love Diane. Special thanks to the Hater's Club (you know who you are) of Bristol, CT for hating every other band name on the face of the Earth. Also, thanks to Pyramis for making the whole thing possible by letting us return to our ancestral practice studios in Bristol. Bully.

So, expect a major website update in the next month. We'll let you know. In the meantime, we're playing again at Reynold's (see right) in February, I guess under the new/old name. Happy New Year! We'll be seeing you in 2011.
